Rainbow Region Kids Vacation Care Program Rainbow Region Kids is run by trained teachers & child care workers. Rainbow Region Kids is a planned program for school aged children providing a variety of experiences and activities to help children develop their physical, intellectual and social skills. We encourage parent's involvement in the management of the service.

Most families are eligible to receive some fee assistance (Child Care Benefit) when their child attends Child Care. The CCB is a means tested payment from the Family Assistance Office. For more information on Childcare Benefit telephone The Family Assistance Office on 136150.

Parents must ensure that at the time of enrolling their child they have received their assessment for assistance from Centrelink. More info on assessment can be found at here.

JET Child Care fee assistance is available for parents/carer’s who are studying or training, for more info visit the centrelink site.

Lismore

Our Service is located at Lismore Public School
(the corner’s of Pound, Dibb, Hunter and Magellan Streets)

Operates from 3 - 6pm each Public School day. The service is CCB approved and we are licensed for 80 places daily. Our service has a fully qualified Supervisor and Assistant Supervisor with Casual assistants to assist your children to participate in our exciting daily program of activities. We have bus transfers to the service each day

Alstonville/ Wollongbar

Wollongbar Public SchoolOur service is located at Wollongbar Public School
45 Simpson Avenue, Wollongbar 2477

The service operates from 3 - 6pm each Public School day. The service is CCB approved and we are licensed for 45 places daily. Our service has a fully qualified Co-ordinator with Casual assistants to assist your children to participate in our exciting daily program of activities.

We have bus transfers to the service each day:

Ballina Bus Lines operates a school bus from

  • St. Josephs School and
  • Alstonville Public School

to Wollongbar After-School Care.

Bus 34 (Mouse) Departs Alstonville 3.27pm and Arrives Wollongbar 3.40pm where the children are met and supervised by one of our friendly staff.

Casino Our Service is located at Casino West Public School (the corner of Hotham and Lockett Street Casino)

 

Our Vacation Care Service operates during Public School Holiday periods and operates 8am – 6pm each Public School Holiday (the service is closed on Public Holidays and Excursion Days). The service is CCB approved and we are licensed for 100 places daily. Our service has fully qualified Supervisor’s with Casual assistants to assist your children to participate in our exciting daily program of activities.

During each holiday we aim to provide at least one excursion for the children in order in enhance their physical, educational and social experiences.

 

Enrolment Information

All children wishing to attend our services need to be formally enrolled. We recommend to families to read our Service Handbook which contains our policies and procedures and information for families. Please download a copy of our enrolment form all relevant fields need to be completed. You can post, fax or email your completed form to us, please ensure that you put a signed (hard copy) in the mail for our records.
