The Centre Against Child Sexual Assault

The Centre Against Child Sexual Assault service (CaCsa) offers confidential and expert counselling, education and support to children and young people who have experienced sexual assault and their non-offending family members / caregivers

All services are offered free of charge.

The service employs experienced female counsellors who work in a respectful and gentle  manner, in a child friendly environment.

We believe that:

• Everyone has a right to feel safe, respected & their body protected.
• Children & young people deserve equal rights in our community.
• No person invites sexual harassment or assault in any way.
• The offender, never the victim, is responsible for sexual assault

CaCsa Provides

• Long or short term, individual or family counseling & support for children & adolescents who have been sexually assaulted, and their non offending family members / care-givers
• Groups for children, adolescents and non offending care-givers
• Court preparation & support
• Specialist consultation, information & resources on topics related to sexual assault & incest.
• Community education and development, bringing greater awareness of sexual assault issues into the community.

You have the right to be treated with respect & sensitivity.

privacy is treated seriously by our counselors. Information about your situation is kept in secure files. No one else has access to your files unless they have a Court Order. As "mandated reporters" we maintain absolute confidentially, with necessary exceptions regarding risk to the safety of a young person.

Lismore CaCsa is funded by the Department of Community Services and is auspiced by the Lismore Neighbourhood Centre, Inc.
